Effurun shooting: Era of impunity in NPF is over — IGP

Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, stated that the era of impunity in the Nigeria Police Force is over following a recent shooting incident in Effurun, Delta State. He promised that any officer involved in unprofessional conduct will be dismissed and prosecuted, without the option of transfer or redeployment. Disu emphasized that firearms must only be used as a last resort and warned against extortion and reckless use of firearms.
