Egyptian queen’s 673-diamond necklace stolen from Vienna Museum

The International Criminal Police Organisation (INTERPOL) has flagged a diamond necklace once owned by Egypt’s Queen Nazli after it was stolen from an exhibition at Vienna’s Museum of Applied Arts in Austria. The necklace, decorated with 673 diamonds, has been added to INTERPOL’s Stolen Works of Art database following its listing by Austrian authorities. Queen Nazli was the wife of King Fuad I of Egypt and served as queen consort from 1919 until the Egyptian monarchy was abolished in 1953.
