Ekiti State is set for gubernatorial elections on June 20, 2026, with thirteen candidates in the race. The current governor, Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji (BAO), is seeking re-election after winning in 2022. His main challengers are Dr. Wole Oluyede of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Ambassador Dare Bejide of the African Democratic Congress (ADC). BAO could become the first governor to secure consecutive terms in Ekiti State.
