Ekiti Govt dissolves okada riders’ executives, appoints caretaker committee

The Ekiti State Government has dissolved the executive council of the Okada Riders Association, Ekiti State Chapter, at all levels, and appointed a 10-man caretaker committee to oversee its affairs. The dissolution, which takes immediate effect, was announced following a recommendation by the association's Board of Trustees. The committee will be chaired by Kunle Asaolu, with Adelegan Olowuro Sunday as Deputy Chairman and Alade Gbenga as Secretary. The full committee includes Saka Salami, Ajibade Ojo, Ademola Omotuyi, Ayodeji Jegede, Lukman Saka, Joseph Emmanuel, Oloruntola Idowu, and Agboola Emmanuel, and will be inaugurated on September 25, 2026, at the Ministry of Transportation in Ado-Ekiti.
