Ekiti Govt resolves Ayetoro crises, pledges due process in granting autonomy to communities

The Ekiti State Government has promised not to abuse the law in establishing autonomous communities, stating that such privileges will only be granted to towns meeting the criteria set by the State Edict. Deputy Governor Chief (Mrs) Monisade Afuye mediated a crisis between the Alayetoro of Ayetoro Ekiti, Oba Samuel Olufisan Ajayi, and some elites over accusations regarding the sale of transformers. She urged for peace and collaboration for the development of Ayetoro, warning that autonomy will only be granted to communities that meet government requirements.
