Ekiti guber: INEC reveals number of registered voters, provides update on PVCs

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) announced the completion of Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) collection for the Ekiti State governorship election. Registered voters increased from 987,647 in 2023 to 1,059,360 in 2026. Collected PVCs reached 1,028,929 (97.1% of registered voters), compared to 958,052 (97%) in 2023. The collection period, initially ending June 11, 2026, was extended to June 14 after a stakeholder meeting in Ado-Ekiti. INEC also received 14,406 replacement applications for lost or damaged cards, all printed and mostly collected.
