Ekiti Polls: INEC delists over 2,000 double registrants

Nigeria's Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has invalidated 2,103 voter registrations identified as double registrations ahead of the Ekiti State Governorship Election scheduled for June 20, 2026. The voter register now contains 1,059,360 registered voters, including 66,664 new voters. INEC Chairman Prof. Joash Amupitan announced this at a meeting with political parties, expressing satisfaction with the commission's preparedness. He also noted that bye-elections in six constituencies will be held on the same day.
