El-Rufai demands N10bn, apology from Defence Minister Musa

Former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai has demanded N10 billion in compensation and a public apology from Defence Minister Gen. Christopher Musa (retd.) over allegedly defamatory statements made during a television program. In a letter dated September 7, 2026, his lawyers argued that Musa's claims, which portray El-Rufai as a planner of killings and a sponsor of banditry, are false and damaging to his reputation. They also demanded a prominent and unambiguous retraction of Musa's statements.
