El-Rufai facing difficult bail conditions - Emir Sanusi reveals ICPC requirements

The Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, has said that former Kaduna State governor Nasir El-Rufai is facing strict bail conditions from the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC). El-Rufai has been detained by the ICPC since February 19. On April 13, the ICPC took him to court with a revised set of nine charges related to alleged fraud and misuse of office. The Emir revealed that officials require an emir and a high-ranking government official to guarantee his release.
