Electoral Code: Amadou Ba flexes muscles against Pastef deputies

The Nouvelle Responsabilité Jamm Ji (NR/J) movement, close to Amadou Ba, criticized the vote on the electoral code amendment passed by the National Assembly on April 27, 2026, deeming it consensus-less. The NR/J questions the lack of sufficient dialogue with political actors and decided not to participate in a meeting scheduled for April 30, 2026, considering the initiative rushed and insufficiently inclusive.
