Electoral Reform: CERAP Symposium Concludes with Proposals for a White Paper

The electoral governance symposium in Côte d'Ivoire, organized by CERAP in partnership with the Konrad-Adenauer Foundation, concluded on September 25, 2026, after two days of discussions in Cocody. Over 100 participants from government institutions, diplomatic missions, political parties, and civil society discussed challenges and solutions for a credible and inclusive reform, emphasizing restoring trust and establishing an independent electoral body. Workshops focused on the selection process, institutional independence, electoral list reliability, electoral dispute management, and civic education, with the aim of producing a white paper for all stakeholders.
