Electoral System Reform: Start of Consultations Between Government and Opposition Parties

The Ivorian government has begun consultations with the opposition to gather proposals on electoral system reform. Minister Vagondo Diomandé met with delegations from PDCI-RDA, FPI, and ADCI, with other parties like PPA-CI and MGC to be consulted later. PDCI-RDA submitted its proposals for a new electoral body aimed at consensus, while FPI postponed submitting its proposals, considering either a joint submission with allies or individual proposals if negotiations fail.
