Electricity: A 44 MW Solar Project Takes Shape in Banyo Alongside Socadel's Hybridization Program

A 44 MW photovoltaic solar power project with storage is being developed in Banyo, Adamaoua. This initiative, led by the Foundation for Development of Ecology & Humankind (Fondecoh) in collaboration with the Banyo municipality and Supernova Energy, was presented to the Electricity Sector Regulatory Agency (Arsel) on September 8, 2026. The electricity generated is intended to supply Banyo and surrounding areas, and is significantly larger than the solar capacities planned in Socadel's hybridization program.
