Electricity Interconnection Cameroon-Chad: New Calls for Tenders Make the 2027 Deadline Unfeasible

The African Development Bank (AfDB) maintains the completion date of the Cameroon-Chad Electricity Interconnection Project at December 31, 2027, despite conflicting work timelines. In Chad, tenders launched in 2026 must be completed in 21 months, while in Cameroon, works started in August require 34 months post-contracting. Both components of the project remain classified as 'ongoing' since their approval in 2017 and 2018.
