Electricity: It’s official, SENELEC becomes the sole shareholder of West African Energy

SENELEC announced that it has acquired all shares of West African Energy, thus becoming the sole shareholder of the project. This acquisition aims to secure the commissioning of a 360 MW power plant, capable of covering nearly 25% of national demand. The project, supported by the Senegalese government, is also intended to promote the transition to natural gas-based electricity production.
