Electricity: Nigerian university campuses will be taken off national grid — Education Minister Alausa

Nigeria's Minister of Education, Dr Maruf Tunji Alausa, announced that university campuses will be taken off the national grid through solar-powered mini-grids. This initiative aims to enhance the learning environment by protecting lecture halls and student accommodations from power outages. The Federal Government's Energizing Education Programme plans to deploy solar energy solutions to at least 25 universities and teaching hospitals across the country.
