Electricity: ‘Nigerians tell me to slow down, freezers are freezing’ — Power minister

Power Minister Joseph Tegbe stated that some Nigerians have asked him to 'slow down' the improvement in electricity supply because their freezers are running continuously. While commissioning a 3-megawatt solar hybrid power project at Yakubu Gowon University, he noted that areas that had no electricity for three months are now receiving 18 hours of power daily. Tegbe also acknowledged challenges in the sector, including vandalism of electricity infrastructure.
