Enugu Socialite Killed During Police Raid at Birthday Party

Nnaji Izuchukwu, a well-known Enugu socialite known as Stone, died after suffering gunshot injuries during a police operation at Bull Hotel in the Asata area, where his birthday party was being held. Police said Anti-Cultism Section officers were searching for Nworie Chidera Kelvin, also known as Akidi, who is suspected of drug dealing and membership in the Vikings confraternity; Akidi and nine others were arrested. According to the police, Nnaji and another suspect jumped through a window while attempting to flee, and a firearm discharged during a struggle with an officer; the other suspect escaped.
