EPL: Carrick on the Brink as 10-Man Man Utd Lose 2-0 to Chelsea

Manchester United, needing a win to move clear of the relegation places, lost 2-0 to Chelsea in Saturday’s match. Bryan Mbeumo’s first-half goal was ruled out for offside before Morgan Rogers put Chelsea ahead after the break. Lisandro Martinez was sent off for a foul in the penalty area, and Cole Palmer converted the spot-kick. Chelsea moved above Liverpool into the top four, while Michael Carrick’s job is under threat and United could end the day in the bottom three.
