Former Manchester United player Paul Scholes expressed his desire to receive his 2011/12 Premier League medal following Manchester City's guilty verdict on financial misconduct spanning nine years. Wayne Rooney, also a former teammate, voiced reservations about accepting the medal, believing Manchester United was not the rightful champion that season. Scholes posted on Instagram that he is a 'greedy bastard' and wants his medal, emphasizing his stance. Disciplinary actions against Manchester City are still pending, and the team is set to face Liverpool at Anfield in a hostile environment.
