EPL: Man Utd board pick two managers to replace Carrick

Manchester United’s board has identified Unai Emery and Julian Nagelsmann as leading candidates to replace Michael Carrick if the club parts ways with him. United is experiencing its worst start to a season since 1986 and has gone seven matches without a win, including a 4-1 Champions League defeat to Como. Carrick is still expected to lead the team against Bournemouth on Sunday in the Premier League. Emery is contracted to Aston Villa until 2029, while Nagelsmann has been unemployed since leaving the German national team after Euro 2024.
