EPL: Man Utd Won't Be Relegated to the Championship, Says Paul Merson

Paul Merson has ruled out Manchester United being relegated to the Championship this season, despite the club sitting 17th after nine Premier League matches. United have the same number of points as Crystal Palace, who are 18th in the relegation zone, but have a better goal difference. Speaking to Sky Sports, Merson said he would be surprised if United were not in the bottom three by their December 5 match against Coventry, but insisted they would not go down. United finished in the top four last season under Michael Carrick and qualified for the Champions League.
