EPL: Peter Schmeichel predicts Carrick's future at Man United after 1-1 draw at Leeds

Peter Schmeichel says Michael Carrick is not at immediate risk of being sacked and that Manchester United's leadership views him as the club's manager for the future. Carrick was appointed permanently over the summer after guiding United to third place and Champions League qualification last season, but his side has struggled early in the current campaign. United sit 13th and are winless in their last six matches in all competitions, despite drawing 1-1 with Leeds. Schmeichel expects the club to be patient and give Carrick further transfer windows before judging his performance.
