EPL: Rooney urges Carrick to treat Fernandes as Ferguson treated Ronaldo

After Manchester United’s 4-1 Champions League defeat to Como, Bruno Fernandes questioned Michael Carrick’s tactics. Wayne Rooney suggested the manager give the Portuguese midfielder a short break after a long season and a World Cup. Rooney recalled that Sir Alex Ferguson sometimes rested Cristiano Ronaldo so he could recharge. United are set to host Bournemouth at Old Trafford on Sunday.
