EPL: The real reason Man Utd haven’t sacked Carrick yet

Michael Carrick could be dismissed as Manchester United manager on Monday, though the official announcement may be delayed. According to The Guardian, the club must inform the New York Stock Exchange before announcing a sacking, and the exchange is closed on weekends. Ruben Amorim’s dismissal after explosive comments following the draw with Leeds was also not announced until the following Monday. Carrick is under pressure after Sunday’s 3-0 defeat to Bournemouth left United 16th, just one point above the relegation zone.
