EPL: Why I benched Bruno Fernandes against Bournemouth — Carrick

Michael Carrick explained that he left Bruno Fernandes out of Manchester United’s starting XI for Sunday’s Premier League match against Bournemouth. Fernandes had criticised Carrick’s tactics after United’s 4-1 defeat to Como. Carrick said selecting the team was difficult and gave “pure football” as his reason for benching Fernandes. United are on a run of seven matches without a win.
