EPL: Xabi Alonso names new Chelsea captains with Reece James out until 2027

Chelsea confirmed on Friday that Reece James had undergone knee surgery and is expected to be unavailable until 2027. In his absence, Xabi Alonso named Moi and Levi as players who will wear the captain’s armband. The manager said they have the support of their teammates and noted that leadership can be shown without the armband, both on matchdays and during the week.
