In 1988, Esther Rantzen surprised Nicholas Winton on the show That's Life! by bringing together adults he had rescued from the Nazis during World War II. His incredible efforts remained largely unreported for nearly 50 years until his wife found a scrapbook with the names of 669 children, mostly Jewish, he had saved. Rantzen said she watched the episode many times and was deeply moved, maintaining contact with Winton until his death in 2015 at age 106.
