Ethiopia-Djibouti: a $660 million oil pipeline with Dangote Group

Ethiopia and Djibouti are building a $660 million oil pipeline and storage infrastructure in a joint venture with Nigerian group Dangote. The pipeline will connect Damerjog in Djibouti to Dewele in Ethiopia, aiming to reduce logistics costs, enhance energy security, and improve the efficiency of the Ethiopia-Djibouti corridor. Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed participated in the launch ceremony in Djibouti alongside President Guelleh and billionaire Dangote, as Dangote also prepares to build a new refinery in Lamu, Kenya.
