Ethiopia’s Gobena, Kenya’s Olympic champion Jepchirchir win Sydney Marathon

Ethiopia’s Addisu Gobena won the Sydney Marathon in 2:04:42, breaking the course record by nearly one and a half minutes. Kenya’s Peres Jepchirchir also triumphed in the women's race, finishing in 2:18:31, nearly four minutes ahead of Irine Cheptai. Gobena, who learned from his second-place finish last year, expressed his happiness after the victory. Jepchirchir found the course challenging but successfully secured her win.
