Russian President Vladimir Putin warned Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan that Armenia's bid to join the European Union could disrupt trade with Moscow. In a tense meeting in Bishkek, Putin stated that Armenia joining the EU would mean a break from the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU). Pashinyan emphasized that Armenia has not violated any obligations towards Russia and does not intend to leave the EEU.
