EU unlocks humanitarian aid for crises worldwide

The European Union has pledged over 710 million euros to assist people affected by crises, natural disasters, or conflicts worldwide, especially in Africa. European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen announced this on her X account after the cancellation of the Global Citizen Festival in New York. Part of the aid will support migration measures, respond to the Ebola outbreak in the DRC, and promote peace in the Great Lakes region.
