Evening Weather: Dozens of localities expected to experience rain in the coming hours

Rain and thunderstorms are expected overnight from September 28 to 29, 2026, in Dakar and surrounding areas including Pikine, Guédiawaye, Rufisque, Keur Massar, Bargny, Diamniadio, Mbao, Malika, Yeumbeul, and Sangalkam. The rainfall risk also extends along the Thiès–Mbour axis, covering Thiès, Tivaouane, Pout, Mbour, Saly, Ngaparou, and Joal-Fadiouth. Central regions such as Fatick, Diourbel, Bambey, Touba, Gossas, Foundiougne, Kaolack, Guinguinéo, Nioro du Rip, Kaffrine, Koungheul, and Malem-Hodar may experience precipitation, as well as the Casamance and Haute-Casamance areas including Ziguinchor, Bignona, Oussouye, Cap Skirring, Kolda, Vélingara, and Médina Yoro Foula. The southeastern regions around Kédougou, Salémata, Saraya, Khossanto, Tambacounda, Goudiry, Koumpentoum, and Bakel could also see rain, while the risk is lower and more localized in the North, including Saint-Louis, Louga, Linguère, and Matam.
