Evicted Woodley Families Claim Houses Were Given to Nairobi Officials’ Relatives

Displaced residents of Woodley Estate in Nairobi are raising concerns over the reallocation of housing units following their eviction for the 2024 Nairobi Urban Renewal Project. Sam Njuguna Gachago, chair of the Woodley Development Initiative, stated that a court had ordered the reinstatement of illegally evicted tenants, but this ruling has not been implemented.
