Ex-CEO of Italian motorway sentenced to 12 years for Genoa bridge collapse

The former CEO of Atlantia, Giovanni Castellucci, was sentenced to 12 years in prison for his role in the 2018 collapse of the Morandi bridge in Genoa, which killed 43 people. The Genoa court found him guilty of vehicular homicide and negligence. Two other executives were sentenced to 5.5 and 11 years. In total, 32 people were convicted in a trial that has become a symbol of Italy's decaying infrastructure.
