Ex-KRA Boss Wattanga Denies Dismissal Claims, Says Exit Followed Contract Terms

Former Kenya Revenue Authority Commissioner General Humphrey Wattanga dismissed claims that he was dismissed, stating that his exit was in line with his contract terms. Although his contract was set to end in August 2026, he opted for terminal leave after learning it would not be renewed. Wattanga was questioned by the National Assembly's Defence Committee during his vetting for the position of Kenya's High Commissioner to Canada.
