NCIC Summons MPs Didmus Barasa & John Ariko Over Public Remarks

The National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC) has summoned MPs Didmus Barasa and John Ariko Naimot over public remarks. Barasa is required to explain comments made in Sirisia, Bungoma County, on September 19, where he urged leaders from the former Western Province to advocate for regional interests. Naimot has also been summoned for allegedly using derogatory language during a speech in Kaputir, Turkana County, on September 2, regarding insecurity and the sharing of benefits from the Lokichar Oil Basin.
