RUNWAY EXCURSION: Indiscriminate construction of structures endangering airport safety, experts warn

Aviation experts have raised concerns about the random construction of structures around airports following a runway excursion involving Enugu Air at Benin Airport. They highlighted that unfinished buildings obstruct air traffic controllers' line of sight, compromising aviation safety. The Nigerian Safety Investigation Bureau recommended repositioning the control tower to ensure an unobstructed view of all movement areas at the aerodrome.
