World Contraception Day 2026: Government and DKT RDC Mobilize Youth Around Contraception and Informed Choices

On September 26, the World Contraception Day was celebrated in the DRC with awareness activities in Kinshasa organized by the National Reproductive Health Program (PNSR) and DKT, focusing on educating youth about available contraceptive methods. Joséphine Ngo Mawoh, DKT RDC Country Director, emphasized the need to improve access to information and reproductive health services, while Anne-Marie Ntumba highlighted efforts to bring these services closer to the population and address stock shortages. The campaign also promoted permanent contraceptive methods for those who have reached their desired family size.
