Podor: Man searching for his goat found dead after bee attack

In Halwar, in the Podor area, 45-year-old Bouya Pam died after being attacked by a swarm of bees in the forest. He had gone out Sunday morning to look for a goat that had been missing since the previous day; after separating from the young man accompanying him, he was cutting wood when the bees attacked around 11 a.m. The stings reportedly caused respiratory arrest, and residents found his body around 9 p.m.; it was taken to Ndioum regional hospital and later released to his family. Residents say bee attacks are recurring in the area and are urging authorities to provide suitable equipment to deal with swarms and prevent further accidents.
