Factional ADC in Adamawa suspends Atiku, Babachir Lawal over alleged misconduct

A faction of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Adamawa State has suspended former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and former Secretary to the Government of the Federation Babachir Lawal over alleged misconduct. Factional chairman Alhaji Raji Zumo stated that the duo was suspended for gross indiscipline, including attempts to impose candidates for the 2027 general elections. Zumo emphasized that the party is not a personal property and will not tolerate any conduct undermining its integrity.
