Fake Banknotes Case: Wrestler Reug Reug Returns Home

Wrestler Oumar Kane, known as Reug Reug, was charged by a Dakar court judge with conspiracy and attempted banknote counterfeiting, along with his uncle Ahmadou Bamba Ndiaye and saltigué Diégane Faye. He was released under judicial supervision, while his co-accused were remanded in custody. The case arose after their arrest by the Faidherbe Research Brigade for possessing counterfeit $100 bills worth approximately 830 million FCFA. Reug Reug denies involvement in counterfeiting, claiming he was only transporting a sealed box without knowing its contents, and his uncle stated he owns all the seized bills.
