Families slam N1bn lawsuit against FG, firm over east west road project after death of two

Two people died following construction work along the Ataobong bypass axis, Phase IV of the East West road. The affected families, led by Daniel Sunday Etukudoh and others, have sued Minister of Works David Umahi and Gitto Construczioni General Nigeria Ltd, seeking 1 billion naira in damages. Rita Isaac Nkenyie, widow of one of the victims, expressed the hardships she faces since her husband's death, including hunger and the inability to pay her children's school fees.
