Far-right UK activist Daniel Thomas arrested after slashing dinghy

Daniel Thomas, a far-right anti-immigration activist known as 'Danny Tommo', was arrested by British police after live-streaming footage showing him slashing an empty dinghy in the English Channel with a knife, while a French coastguard official was still on board. The incident occurred Tuesday afternoon after about 50 migrants from Normandy were taken to Dover for processing. Thomas, founder of the Patriot Platform group, said his action was to prevent the boat from being used again. He was detained on suspicion of criminal damage with intent to endanger life, endangering the safety of a ship, and violations of maritime and aviation security laws.
