Farewell game: 'What Messi, Argentina did to us' - Benin coach, Gernot Rohr laments

Gernot Rohr, the Benin head coach, strongly condemned Argentina and Lionel Messi's attitude during the farewell match. After Argentina's 3-0 victory in Buenos Aires, Messi ignored Benin players eager to take selfies and exchange shirts, which Rohr found deeply unsatisfactory. Rohr managed to get a Messi shirt from the 2018 World Cup autographed by Messi through Argentina's coach Scaloni, but efforts to interact with Messi directly were unsuccessful. Rohr also presented a bouquet of flowers in Benin's national colors, but the gesture did not lead to personal exchanges.
