Farmer dies after violent machete attack in his field

Djedjassem Emmanuel, a farmer aged about 30, was attacked with a machete in his field in Oulmadéhou, Kordo canton, Chad, on Friday, October 30. He was loading harvested maize onto a cart with a young boy when unidentified assailants attacked him, injuring his forehead, right arm and abdomen. After being treated at several health facilities, he died at Pala Provincial Hospital. The attackers’ identities and motives remain unknown.
