Saudi Arabia postpones major investment conference to 2027 after Houthi attacks

The Future Investment Initiative (FII), scheduled for October 26–29 in Riyadh, has been postponed to 2027, CEO Maha Al Saud announced on Monday. The decision follows a deadly Houthi strike on October 10 that killed 13 people and led to the closure of Riyadh’s international airport, with no reopening timeline. Western travel warnings have multiplied, and business executives are reluctant to travel to the kingdom. Existing registrations and partnerships will remain valid, with new dates to be announced soon.
