Fatimatou Diop Stabs Cheikh Mbodj in the Neck: The Dark Story Behind a Murder

In Souloul, in the commune of Diama, 23-year-old Fatimatou Diop, a married mother of one, admitted stabbing shopkeeper Cheikh Mbodj Diop, her lover, in the neck. On the evening of October 31, 2026, Cheikh had met her in the village after asking his companion, A. Diop, to wait near the primary school. Ross-Béthio gendarmerie investigators found that Fatimatou had sent a threatening message to a woman she suspected of being involved with Cheikh.
