ShinyHunters claims to have hacked the FBI's recruitment portal, FBIJobs.gov, on September 22, by exploiting a vulnerability in Oracle PeopleSoft software. They allege to have stolen between 2 and 3 terabytes of data, including names, addresses, phone numbers, spouse information, and medical records. A sample of 5,000 agents, including members of the Remote Operations Unit, was verified by 404 Media. The hackers are not demanding money but are asking the FBI to remove a May publication about them, promising not to release the data.
