FCMB supports FMYD-IITA Youth in Agribusiness Land Trust Fund

The Federal Ministry of Youth Development (FMYD) and the International Institute for Tropical Agriculture (IITA) have launched the National Youth in Agribusiness Land Trust Fund (YiALTF), supported by First City Monument Bank (FCMB). The initiative aims to improve land access for over 500,000 young Nigerians building sustainable agribusinesses. Unveiled in Abuja, the programme was announced by Minister Ayodele Olawande, who highlighted plans to train six million youths and support 500,000 youth-led agribusinesses. FCMB's Kudzai Gumunyu reiterated the bank's commitment to making agriculture more attractive and financeable.

CBN unveils new FX guidelines, approves cash movement of $50,000

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has issued new foreign exchange guidelines allowing individuals to move up to $50,000 in cash, provided the amount is declared at the point of exit. The previous limit of $10,000 without declaration remains unchanged. All inbound FX transfers will be disbursed to beneficiaries' accounts in Naira. Authorized Dealer Banks can import foreign currency to meet local cash needs with prior CBN approval.
